Course Description

Overview: Students enrolling in this course will build upon skills learned in Outlook 2002: Level 1 and Outlook 2002: Level 2, learning advanced Outlook skills including importing data, performing a mail merge, creating custom forms, using the Internet Free/Busy Service, scheduling an online meeting, using Instant Messenger from Outlook, accessing a newsgroup, using the Journal, setting Outlook security, using the Internet with Outlook, and working offline or remotely. The course is suitable for persons preparing to be certified Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) in Outlook.

 

Prerequisites: To ensure your success, you must have first completed the Software Training courses, Outlook 2002: Level 1 and Outlook 2002: Level 2, and have a strong working knowledge of the Windows environment. For example, you should know how to launch an application, create and save files, and copy files from CDs and other media. The Software Training courses Windows 98: Introduction, Windows ME: Introduction, Windows 2000: Introduction and Windows XP: Introduction teach these skills. Students should also be able to use Outlook 2002 to send, receive, and manage mail messages, schedule and manage appointments, meetings, and events, and create and manage contacts, tasks, and notes. It also assumes that students can customize their Outlook environment and work with Public folders.

 

Delivery Method: Instructor-led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.
